Porthmeor Beach – Often known as the “surfing beach” is less than 10 minutes walk from the flat. This is a large popular beach opposite the Tate Gallery.

Porthgwidden Beach – This is a small sheltered beach about 5 minutes walk from the flat.

The Harbour – The Harbour Beach is less than 5 minutes walk from the flat. The harbour is very near shops, pubs and restaurants.

Portminster Beach – Porthminster Beach is the other side of the town centre being about 15 to 20 minutes walk from the flat.

Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden – Gives a remarkable insight into one of the 20th Century’s most important sculptors.

St Ives Museum – Between The Harbour and Porthgwidden Beach, the museum is open from Easter to the end of October.

Tate Gallery – Opposite Porthmeor Beach, The Tate displays international modern and contemporary art.

Kids R Us, St Ives Theatre – Produces at least three large scale musicals each year as well as a number of concerts involving over 100 boys and girls aged 7-18, supported by experienced directors, tutors, and a large number of adults.

Royal Cinema – Situated in the town centre, the cinema shows popular films in three screens.

Carbis Bay – Another large beach about 30 to 40 minutes walk along the coastal path. It can also be reached by train or bus from St Ives.
